Maldives 5-star resort with snorkeling and scuba diving for US$476 per night
An island nation surrounded by tropical, clear ocean, the Maldives is a popular vacation spot that beckons vacationers from around the globe. The reason it is so popular? Aside from the beautiful house reefs, fun water activities, delicious seafood and inviting beaches, the Maldives are home to some pretty impressive overwater resorts that pride themselves on offering the best of the best to their guests.
One of these such resorts is the Bandos Island Resort & Spa. Here you'll find a private island resort that offers two overwater bungalows, each offering uninhibited views of the ocean. You'll also find a large variety of watersports, dining options and wellness treatments that are available each and every day of your stay. All this starts off at only US$476 per night for two people.
An overwater villa at the Bandos Island Resort & Spa for US$476 (taxes and resort fees extra) per night for two people.
Only available through Agoda, this nightly rate is a great fit for visitors who don't want to go over budget. With that said, it's actually way below the normal low season starting rate, making it an even better deal. You'll just want to take note that this nightly rate is only available during the month of October and will go up after the month has ended. Because it is so low compared to the normal rates offered at this particular resort, and the fact that there are only two overwater rooms available, these rooms will book up quickly. This means that if you're seriously considering this resort (which you should), then you'll want to act fast.
Special features in each overwater room
In total, there are over two hundred rooms at this resort, though only two of them are situated over the lagoon. These two rooms are separated from the land rooms, adding a bit of privacy to each. These overwater rooms feature a four poster kingsize bed, two extra beds, a satellite plasma TV, room service, a modern bathroom with a jacuzzi, shower and bidet, a tea and coffee making area and some pretty impressive ocean views. Because of these views, you'll find yourself with camera in hand every time you look out at the ocean.
In addition, each villa features a private sun deck. This sun deck features access to the ocean below and an open air fresh water shower.
Snorkeling, scuba diving and much more
Though the rooms are part of a private island experience, you'll still find that there are plenty of amenities right on-site. These amenities include three restaurants and three bars, various swimming pools, a kids club that's great for the little ones, tennis courts, beach volleyball and live music. If you're visiting for the water, you'll find great snorkeling and scuba diving options at the house reef right off of the island. You'll also find windsurfing, water skiing, parasailing and lots of other water sports that you can partake in.
Those looking to enjoy a bit of romance while on the island will find a full service spa, a sunset dolphin cruise and a wedding facility.
