you might already know, almost all of the overwater bungalow resorts in the world are in two main places. One is the Maldives, which is an island group and nation just southwest of India, where you'll find about 75 water villa resorts alone. That accounts for about two thirds of all the overwater bungalow resorts in the world.

The other grouping, which is actually more famous internationally, is spread around the South Pacific. Of course “the South Pacific” is a pretty vague-sounding term, and some people prefer to visualize things. As a result we've put together this map of all overwater bungalow resorts in the South Pacific, including the clusters in Bora Bora, Moorea, and Tahiti.

If you are more interested in the greatest selection of high-end resorts just have a look at the specific Bora Bora bungalow resort map, or the Moorea and Tahiti bungalow resort map. Those are actually just zoomed-in sections of this larger map, but this one allows you to see the entire lot of them. Those who are coming from Asia, Australia, or New Zealand will notice there are several that are much closer to home, therefore cheaper and easier to reach.

    1. Heather,

Most resorts arrange weddings and the price will obviously vary at each resort. The weather in Bora Bora is almost the same all year round, so there isn’t much difference in seasons. June and July are the driest months and also honeymoon season, so they are the most expensive. April has similar weather but much lower prices. -Roger
