A small overwater resort, the Lankayan Island Resort houses both land based and over the water suites, and is home to some great scuba diving and snorkeling sites. The overwater rooms impress with island decor splashed in browns, tans, and whites. From your bed, you'll be provided with some pretty fantastic views of the ocean beyond. Though there is no spa at this resort, you will find a public sitting area and library. You'll also find an over the water restaurant and bar, with 360 views of the ocean.
There are two different packages at this resort, one for scuba divers, and one for non divers. If you're visiting with the intention of snorkeling, but not diving, then you'll still find yourself being treated to a few luxuries. These include boat transfer to the resort, buffet style meals, snacks, and tea, coffee, water, and drinks throughout the day as well as snorkeling gear you can rent. If you choose the scuba diving package, you'll be provided with everything you need for your diving experiences, including access to multiple diving locations.

Reviews for this resort are quite good, with many guests detailing their love for the vibrant sea life around the resort. In fact, many get to see sea turtles up close, in and out of the ocean, along with a plethora of tropical fish and small sea creatures that live in and around the coral heads. A big plus for divers is the clarity of the ocean, which was clear the entire time for most visitors. Staff members are also said to be very friendly and good natured.
Many think that the food could be better, while others don’t think there’s anything lacking in the dishes, so this really depends on how much of a foodie you are. All in all, the reviews are very positive, with only a few negatives expressed here and there.
