Gently perched over the river, the overwater villas of Kwai Tara Riverside Villas Resort offer each guest privacy and, surprisingly, large rooms to enjoy. If you're expecting the upmost in luxury, you won't find it here, but you will find a comfortable overwater room that is a great option for couples seeking a nature centered vacation. The overwater rooms here, along with the canal front rooms each feature air conditioning, a fridge, a minibar, and a sitting area. The overwater rooms also include a private balcony that is directed into the river, making for a beautiful water view.
The resort also offers a restaurant and a daily hour long raft session down the river in front of the resort, which is very highly praised. You'll want to note that the front desk does close at 8pm every night, so you'll want to make sure that you've got everything you need before closing time.
Reviews for this resort are a bit of a mixed bag, with some good things said alongside some not so positive statements. The food here is detailed as a strong positive with many stating how good it is and how they would recommend the food to their friends and family. Also, the hour long raft ride is a big hit with pretty much every single guest. The bedrooms are stated to be very clean, along with the private bathrooms.
The only big complaints are addressed to the river that the resort sits on. Because it is fast flowing, you can hear it throughout the night and it makes it so that you can’t always swim in it safely from your overwater room. This seems to bother a good number of people, while other guests don’t seem to care at all.
