J Resorts Alidhoo – Maldives
Featuring 42 duplex water villas in addition to 57 island and beach rooms, the J Resorts Alidhoo (formerly the Cinnamon Island Alidhoo) has some of the largest overwater bungalows in this price range. There are also 5 restaurants and bars plus a long list of water sports and land activities, making this a top choice for active people and families.
The transition from the previous owner to the current one hasn’t gone without complications, but overall this is a well appointed resort that should deserve consideration for the 2-story water villas in this price range alone. There’s even free wi-fi in the rooms, and many services on the island, so this is a good choice for those who prefer to stay in touch.
The J Resorts Alidhoo is located in the South Ari Atoll, about 350 kilometers north of Malé International Airport in the Maldives.

What the reviews say
Reviews of the J Resorts Alidhoo are mixed, with most guests praising nearly everything but still a few who claim that things don’t look as well-kept and modern as they had expected and in fact, seem a bit upset about the resort conditions.
The facilities themselves get very high marks, as do the large duplex water villas. The service also seems to get a lot of praise with many guests feeling that staff embers are professional, friendly and helpful throughout the entire stay.
To reach the J Resorts Alidhoo you’ll need to fly to the main Malé International Airport in the Maldives. From there you’ll be met by hotel staff who will guide you to a 50-minute domestic flight to Hanimadhoo Regional Airport. Once there you’ll be taken on a 15-minute speedboat ride to the resort itself.
