Formerly known as the Lohifushi Maldives Resort, the Adaaran Prestige Ocean Villas Resort underwent a huge remodeling in 2009 and reopened under new management. The resort consists of 37 ocean villas that are just off the island where sister property Adaaran Select Hudhuranfushi Resort has 97 beach villas. The ocean villas come with a personal butler and many luxury amenities, plus a premium price.

This was and continues to be one of the few Maldives resorts with a good surf beach, so it’s especially popular with the surfing crowd in general, though the diving, snorkeling and other activities are plentiful since the hotel takes up an entire good-sized island. This is a solid 4-star all-inclusive resort, and the overwater bungalows are especially ideal for honeymoons or romantic holidays, but it’s well suited to active vacationers as well.

Reviews for the Adaaran Prestige Ocean Villas Resort are mostly positive. The overwater rooms get extremely high marks from past guests, and especially the personal butler included with each one.

Those who stayed in the main section of the resort tend to be quite satisfied, though a few remark about slow service, so those interested in spending time doing water sports may have issues with that, but overall the overwater villas here appear to be excellent.

Getting there

To reach the Adaaran Prestige Ocean Villas Resort you’ll need to fly to the main Malé International Airport in the Maldives. From there you’ll be met by hotel staff who will put you on a private speedboat for the 30-minute ride to the small island where the resort lies.
