Waldorf Astoria Maldives Resort
A 5-star luxury overwater resort, the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Resort is poised to be a popular romantic resort featuring a wide range of amenities, features, and activities, both land based and water based. In total, there are going to be 138 guest villas, both on land and over the water with categories ranging from 1 bedroom to a 4 bedroom presidential suite. Once the rooms are built, they will wow with a private pool, private jacuzzi, and a large outdoor deck. Some will even have a glass floor cutout in which you can use to view the ocean and its creatures below without having to physically submerge yourself in the water. At the moment we are unsure how many of these suites will be ocean based, and how many will be found on the beach.
In addition to the rooms, guests will find several dining options, with each restaurant offering a different style of cuisine. This is exciting as you'll have the option to eat something different every night of your stay. There will also be a spa, a gym, yoga and snorkeling opportunities.
The resort is set to open in early 2019, though an exact date is not yet known.
