The Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort unveils an UNDERWATER room
Featuring the only all glass underwater restaurant in the entire world, it comes as no surprise that the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort now also has an underwater room to showcase that's been titled the Muraka. An underwater stay in itself is impressive enough for most, but not for the owners of the resort. They feel that every guest that books a stay in the Muraka should also experience a private flight to their own seaplane jetty, 4 butlers, a private chef, and an on-call fitness trainer among other amenities. Before taxes are figured into the final rate amount, a night at this underwater villa will set you back US$50,000.
This room is set to open in November, 2018 and is currently causing quite a lot of anticipation within the overwater resort community.
A stunning underwater room and more
As mentioned above, an underwater room will open at the Conrad Maldives Rangali Island Resort at the end of this year, which is very exciting for those who have the money to spend. The master bedroom itself is suspended 16.4 feet (5 meters) in a glass tunnel under the sea's surface. With that said, you'll also want to note that the rooms also feature a sunset facing deck that provides beautiful views each evening. As you can tell, there are 2 floors to this suite, one above the ocean, and one below.
The top floor is home to 2 bedrooms, a bathroom, the outdoor deck, and a nice sized infinity edge pool. The lower level is home to the master bedroom, a bathroom, and a living area, all of which are privy to endless views of the reef that lies just on the other side of curved acrylic dome. It's also located a distance away from the resort's overwater villas, which helps to create a very private and exclusive experience.
Each stay at the Muraka also includes a 90 minute spa treatment each day, a private chef, 4 different butlers, an on call personal fitness trainer, a private seaplane jetty, and a private speedboat. If you'd like, there is also a designated space for private security detail, which is an appealing add-on to many.
Current overwater rooms
As this resort is a rather large one, you'll find 79 beach villas as well as 71 overwater suites. When looking further into the selection of overwater villas available, you'll find that there are 6 different kinds to choose from, ranging in size from 74 m² to 250 m². Though the size does vary from one category to the next, all overwater rooms come with the same basic amenities. These amenities include a kingsize bed or two twins, Wi-Fi, an entertainment system, room service, a private sundeck that impresses with stairs that lead directly into the ocean below, and an ocean view bathtub.
Resort features and amenities
The rest of the resort also wows with 10 dining and drink options, including an underwater, all glass restaurant. Alongside the many dining options, the resort also plays host to a few wedding facilities, a dive centre (with PADI courses available), an infinity pool, windsurfing, snorkeling and a two-story gym.
Because this resort aims to please in all aspects, guests here will also find both an adult's spa and a children's spa. At the adult's spa you'll find 5-star treatments in an over the water setting on stilts 50 meters out over the ocean.
