Moorea 5-star water villas with golf and a glass bottom boat for US$716 per night

A fan favorite, the island of Moorea is constantly gushed over in movies, TV shows and novels. Though the island may look like it can only be afforded by the rich and famous, that simply isn’t the case. In fact, the island plays hosts to a few overwater resorts that cater to those with tighter budgets.

One of these such resorts is the Sofitel Moorea La Ora Beach Resort. At this oasis, guests will find lovely overwater rooms offering stunning views of Tahiti, a selection of dining options and plenty of activities to keep you busy for the duration of your stay. All this starts off at only US$716 per night for two adults.

The Details

Sitting pretty among other high season rates, this one is great for those who are looking for a completely luxurious experience without having to pay top dollar for it. At this resort you’ll find large rooms with a private terrace, lots of activities to choose from and some great dining choices. With that said however, this particular rate is only available during the month of June, so make sure to book your dates as soon as you can. It’s very likely that there will be others wishing to book the same room as well.

Rooms with all the amenities you could want

At this resort, you’ll find 39 overwater rooms in two different categories. For this nightly rate, we’re looking at the Superior Overwater Bungalows. These rooms are nicely sized with over 300 square feet of living space alongside 108 square feet of patio space, all of which is private. In addition, they come with Wi-Fi, an entertainment system complete with a satellite TV and a movie channel, room service and a king sized bed.

Other room amenities include a mini bar, a radio, air conditioning, a bathroom with a rain shower and more. Perhaps the most impressive however is the private terrace that offers views of the island of Tahiti from your Moorea room.

Golf, snorkeling, and more

Alongside inviting rooms, visitors will also find several restaurants, a swimming pool, a gift shop and a beauty salon. Spa services are also available on-site at the resort’s LeSpa. Here guests will find themselves privy to 7 different treatment rooms and 2 jacuzzis that happen to look straight out toward the lagoon.

Those who like to get out and about during their vacations will find lots of fun things to do, on-site and off. Some of these activities include golf, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, wind surfing, pedal boating and more.
