Maldives water villa for US$208 per night per couple, half-board
It continues to surprise us how great the deals are in the Maldives this coming summer. Last week we highlighted the best new deals for Maldives water villas by listing all the better resorts that have drastically reduced their prices recently. The one we listed on the bottom of that page deserves a bit more attention since it’s easily the cheapest Maldives water villa of all, even the it’s quite a nice resort.
The Angaga Island Resort and Spa is a small private island with 20 water villas and 50 garden and beach bungalows, and this June through August they have cut their rates to well under half their high-season rates, which are already quite reasonable.
A water villa at the Angaga Island Resort and Spa for US$208 per night for two people (only US$189 for a single) in a water villa on the half-board (breakfast and dinner included) plan.
This deal is available for selected dates including a 30%-off discount from our booking partner, Agoda. Beach bungalows start at US$155 per night for two people. Check rates for your dates on the Agoda page for the Angaga Island Resort.
A 4-star adults resort at a stunning price
Out of the nearly 80 Maldives water villa resorts, the Angaga Island Resort and Spa is currently offering the cheapest overwater villas by quite a bit. We won’t pretend that it’s as nice as resorts that cost 3 or 4 times more, but it is a very solid choice that generally gets quite good reviews. For those who have dreamed of staying in a water villa and feared they couldn’t afford it, this is a fantastic opportunity.
The Angaga Island Resort is admittedly a smaller island and there is no swimming pool or Kids Club so it’s best suited to romantic couples rather than families or groups. There’s scuba diving, tennis, catamarans, windsurfing, water skiing and much more, so guests have enough options to enjoy at least a week without repeating activities.
Surprisingly nice villas
At 56 square meters, the water villas at the Angaga Island Resort are much larger than a typical urban hotel room, and even at this amazing price they come with a glass-bottom table (to see the sea life under your villa) plus bathrobes, a mini fridge, and a modern bathroom with a bathtub. In other words, it has all the amenities you’d expect for at least double this price in the Maldives.
Have a look at the video tour of the water villa at the bottom of the Angaga Island Resort page and you’ll see that this is a proper resort in a beautiful setting, offered at prices that we may never see again.
