Maldives Jacuzzi water villa at US$389 per night for two, half board
Most of the smaller and more intimate resorts in the Maldives are among the most expensive, so it’s worth noting this current special at the Komandoo Island Resort, which has 16 water villas and only 29 island rooms and suites. They are offering their Jacuzzi Water Villas at only US$389 per night for two people with breakfast and dinner included, which is about US$150 per night less than their normal rate.
Those who prefer these boutique resorts are used to paying high prices for having so little company, or doing with a lot less, but the Komandoo Island Resort has many daytime activities and services so it’s a great deal. There’s even an overwater restaurant in addition to the main buffet restaurant on the island, which is another feature you don’t expect at this price.

This promotion is only available through our booking partner, Agoda, which has the best deals for Maldives resorts. It includes a 20% discount and dinner included, so this is a discount AND a bonus off their base room rate. Check your own dates for availability on the Agoda page for the resort.
Large water villas with wonderful private decks
Most resorts in the Maldives design their water villa rooms to have some privacy, but the Komandoo Island goes further than most with the villas in a semi-circle out over the lagoon. Each water villa has a wooden wall on one side of the terrace, but most of it is wide open to the lagoon, and completely private.
The rooms are quite large at 829 sq ft (77 m²) each, and are loaded with luxury amenities. There’s a 4-poster kingsize bed, dual vanities, a separate shower, and of course the large Jacuzzi tub with a view out over the lagoon. You also get an espresso machine, a minibar, and kimonos (instead of bath robes) to use while relaxing in and around your villa. Have a look at the video tour on the main page to see what they look like yourself.
Great scuba diving and snorkeling, plus more
Some of these small resorts can’t afford to have a proper Scuba center, but the Komandoo Island Resort has a 5-star PADI center. There’s also great snorkeling, including just below your water villa, plus canoeing, windsurfing, badminton, table tennis and volleyball. There is also a wide choice of excursions to nearby locations to choose from, so if you aren’t in the mood to simply relax you won’t run out of things to do even in a week.
As mentioned above, there’s an overwater restaurant in addition to the main buffet restaurant and bar. Of course no Maldives resort would be complete without a luxury spa, and here you’ll find the Duniye Spa, which is a full service facility offering a great variety of massages and other treatments.
