Maldives all-inclusive water villas starting at US$371 per night in high season
The high season in the Maldives runs from December through April, so it’s a bit shocking to see excellent deals like this one during this period. The Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa Resort is certainly one of the more affordable private-island water villa resorts in the Maldives, yet still the US$371 per night price is an incredible bargain for an all-inclusive plan.
With Europeans descending on the Maldives during the wintertime you usually find that the cheapest water villas start at around US$500 per night during this period, not including a few large resorts that have several rooms in each structure. The Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa Resort has totally private water villas with all the amenities, and there are only 80 total rooms (70 water villas and 10 on the island) so it has more of a boutique atmosphere than the large all-inclusives in the area.
The deal: Water villa for US$371 per night all-inclusive
The details: This price is for a 7-night stay during March, 2012, and it includes a 15% early-bird discount on our provider, Agoda.
Check the Agoda page for the Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa Resort to search your own dates. Rates are US$436 per night if booked closer to the travel dates, which is still a good rate, but book early for the discount if you can.
The water villas at the Chaaya Lagoon Resort are a bit over 43 meters (500 square feet) making them among the smaller ones in the Maldives, but they are still larger than most urban hotel rooms, and they are filled with all the 4-star amenities you’d expect at a luxury resort hotel, including a king-sized bed.
The resort offers excellent scuba diving, snorkeling, and fishing, plus windsurfing and even a volleyball court.
You can also visit the Sanctuary Spa at the Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa for luxury treatments and massages.
The location is somewhat remote as it’s a 45-minute sea plane ride from the main airport, but this helps make it popular with romantic couples who are looking for privacy without families and large groups.
If you are looking for a 5-star boutique resort then you’ll have to pay more, but for those wanting to stay in a water villa in the Maldives at an excellent price this is a perfect deal.
