Jacuzzi water villa in the Maldives for US$536/night full board for two
I just spent a big part of my day looking for appealing promotional rates for Maldives water villa resorts and it's becoming a real challenge. Now that summer is over for most of us, people start thinking about those winter holidays to the tropics, so the resorts tend to raise rates while still filling up. However, there are a few good deals still out there, including this one we feature this week.
The Meeru Island Resort & Spa is one of the Maldives' larger and more dependable private-island resorts, and it's offering its Jacuzzi water villas for only US$536 per night for two people including three meals per day. You can save a bit by booking a water villa without a Jacuzzi, or for a bit more you can go with the all-inclusive plan with alcohol.
A Jacuzzi Water Villa at the Meeru Island Resort & Spa for only US$536 (plus service and tax) for two people on the full board plan. The smaller water villas without Jacuzzis start at US$486 (plus service and tax) for two people full board. A Jacuzzi Water Villa with all-inclusive is only US$664 (plus service and tax) per night for two people.
These rates are only available on Agoda.com, which is the best source of Maldives discounted resorts. All rates in this promotion include free cancellation and there is no minimum stay required to qualify. These rates are good for October and November based on availability of room types. Check the Agoda page for the Meeru Island Resort for your own dates.
Excellent value on a Jacuzzi water villa
With 106 water villas, the Meeru Island Resort has more of them than any resort in the Maldives, and this helps them offer excellent value compared to small resorts. They have 27 smaller water villas that are quite large at 60 square meters, but they also have 77 larger Jacuzzi water villas that are 85 square meters and come with an upgraded bedroom suite.
At most Maldives resorts the larger villas would be 50% more expensive than the smaller ones, but for some reason the Meeru Island only charges about 10% more for the upgrade. Most likely it's because they have 3 times as many large ones, but the point is that the Jacuzzi villas are a worthwhile upgrade for almost everyone.
Fantastic reviews and so many restaurant choices
We've highlighted this resort several times in the past and one good reason for it is that it continues to impress new guests every year. Considering it has so many water villas you might think it would get just middling reviews (the Malaysian resort with the most water villas gets terrible reviews), but this one stays solid and is recommended by a great majority of past guests. You can also read the reviews to discover that many people come back to this place every year, which is another sure mark of quality.
Large Jacuzzi water villas are nice and all, but at this resort that's just one part of the story. This larger island has 15 different restaurants and bars to choose from, which is one for every 20 guest rooms. In other words, you can always find something interesting to eat or a cool watering hole, and yet you'll never see crowds because there are never too many guests on the island at any given time.
