Huge 5-star Maldives water villa with private pool at US$415 per couple
As the high season in the Maldives is approaching it’s getting a bit harder to find stand-out deals to discuss, but this week we have an excellent bargain due to a change in ownership at one of the area’s most acclaimed resorts. The Beach House at Iruveli Maldives was known as the Waldorf Astoria Maldives until this month (August, 2012) and operated by the high-end division of Hilton Hotels, but now it’s back in the hands of its local ownership team and they are able to lower the price as a result.
Until very recently the lowest off-season price we’ve seen for this 5-star resort was US$595 per night, but at the moment they are running a promotion where the water villas are starting at US$415 per night, even during the upcoming shoulder season months.
A Water Villa at the Beach House at Iruveli Maldives for US$415 per night for two people, including breakfast.
This promotional rate is only available through our booking partner, Agoda, which is known for having the best deals in the Maldives and throughout Asia. The rate is 40.7% off the normal rate for the coming months, and no minimum stay length is required. Check your own dates on the Beach House Maldives’ Agoda page.
Private infinity pool at a stunning price
Each of the 30 Water Villas at the Beach House Maldives resort is 110 square meters including the large sundeck over the lagoon, but even more distinctively, each has an infinity-edge splash pool on its deck. This sort of luxury usually costs well over US$1,000 per night in the Maldives, so this promotion allows some of the rest of us to feel what it’s like to be part of the international jet set.
Of course each room also includes a sofa bed and a glass-panel floor in addition to the kingsized bed, as well as a large flat-screen TV, a Jacuzzi bathtub, a refrigerator, and 5-star amenities like bathrobes for each guest. The bathroom itself is partially outdoors, so guests can enjoy the tropical breezes while bathing in the i-Spa tub.
Wide variety of restaurant choices and activities
Many resorts of this size (only 83 total rooms) in the Maldives have exactly one restaurant and bar, but the Beach House Maldives has 3 different unique restaurants in addition to 5 bars and cafes to choose from. Again, this is the sort of thing you can expect when you are paying over US$1,000 per night for a room, but almost nowhere else at this level.
There’s also fine scuba diving, snorkeling, and a wide variety of water sports and other daytime activities, plus a professionally staffed Kids Club. The spa here is also among the best in the area, so fans of Ayurvedic treatments and aromatherapy will be living the good life.
