Eclypse de Mar Aqua Lodge – Bocas del Toro, Panama
The Eclypse de Mar Aqua Lodge is yet another eco-lodge off the Caribbean coast of Panama. It has 6 overwater bungalows, 2 of which are special Suite Honeymoon units. All the bungalows come with 2 bedrooms and are suitable for small families, so the reasonable prices are very good value for groups in particular.
The location near Bocas del Toro town is convenient, but still a short boat ride away so there's also a pleasant sense of privacy and isolation. The opportunities for water sports are abundant, though not all are located at the resort itself.
The Eclypse de Mar Aqua Lodge is located on the small island called Bastimentos in Bocas del Toro, just off the northwest coast of Panama.

What the reviews say
Reviews of the Eclypse de Mar Aqua Lodge tend to be glowing for the most part, though a few somewhat unsatisfied guests do come away with a lower opinion. Generally visitors have their expectations met or exceeded by the rooms, the staff, and especially the surroundings.
Some mention that the only nightlife is available a water-taxi ride away, but most are happy to be in a quiet place, though the music does evidently reach the hotel a bit anyway. The food mostly gets good reviews as well, but of course you can't please everybody.
To reach the Eclypse de Mar Aqua Lodge you'll first fly to Panama City International Airport and then change planes for a 50-minute flight to Bocas del Toro. Once there you'll take a short boat taxi ride to the resort itself.
