Best Maldives deals in October: Water villas from US$375 per night
The high season for Maldives hotels starts in November, so October is an ideal month to get off-season deals just before prices shoot up. There are still some really fantastic bargains to report for the month, including two below that are for all-inclusive deals. If you’ve seen typical food and drink prices in the Maldives, you’ll realize that those are really stand-out bargains, especially this time of year.
We’ve listed the 3 best deals we could see for the month below, but there are plenty more choices once you start looking around. Even the posh 5-star resorts are offering tempting rates, so it continues as a buyer’s market at least until November.
Best Maldives water villa deals in October
Kuredu Island Resort and Spa
Water villas from US$375 per night per couple with half board
No matter what month it is, it’s hard to find a better deal than you can get at the Kuredu Island Resort. With over 300 rooms including over 50 water villas, this 4-star resort is the largest in the Maldives so it also has the longest list of features and activities. In October their water villa rates start at US$375 per night (US$405 including taxes) per couple with breakfast and dinner included each day.
What may be surprising about this is that the resort consistently gets excellent reviews, which means that it exceeds expectations for a majority of guests. The water villas are large at 60 square meters each including a private terrace, and they even come with luxury amenities such as kimonos for each guest.
Veligandu Island Resort & Spa
Jacuzzi Water Villas with all-inclusive from US$600 per night for two
Much smaller with only 91 guest rooms including 64 water villas, the Veligandu Island Resort & Spa is offering excellent deals on its all-inclusive packages in October. Starting at US$600 per night (US$648 including taxes) for two people including all meals and drinks, guests get a very large Jacuzzi water villa.
The 4-star rating only tells part of the story here, as each villa includes a large flatscreen TV with iPod docking station, not to mention the partially open-air bathroom with Jacuzzi and rain shower. This place also gets excellent reviews so you can book with confidence.
Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa Resort
Water villas with all-inclusive from US$520 per night for two
With only 80 total villas, the Chaaya Lagoon Hakuraa Huraa Resort is another boutique private-island resort, but this one works totally on an all-inclusive basis. In October they are offering Water Bungalows for only US$520 per night (US$561 including taxes) for two people with all meals and drinks included.
While they do offer great scuba diving, windsurfing, and even volleyball, this resort is more low key and oriented towards couples and relaxation than most others. You don’t get many families here, so it’s a good choice for those who prefer the peace and quiet of an adults resort.
