Best Bora Bora & Moorea deals for September: Overwater bungalows from US$571/night
Even with the kids going back to school, September is another very busy month in the South Pacific. While it’s true that honeymoon season is mostly over by this month, the demand is still high so room rates at resorts barely budge from the highs of August.
The perfect weather continues to draw people from all over the world, but still there are a few tempting deals for those who look closely. Below you’ll find the three that stand out as great value compared to the low season. If you want something in the solid 5-star category, you are going to have to spend at least US$1,200 per night, and that’s if you can find any availability.
Best Moorea and Bora Bora overwater bungalow deals for September
The first of these is in Moorea, which is easier to reach and nearly as beautiful as Bora Bora.
Intercontinental Moorea Resort & Spa
Overwater bungalows from US$571 per night for two people
The best deal in the South Pacific on overwater bungalows appears to be at the Intercontinental Moorea Resort & Spa.
They offer 50 overwater bungalows starting at US$571 per night (including all taxes), each with a separate living room area. If you’ve never stayed at a place like this it’s helpful to think of these more as suites than normal rooms, except you also have a private terrace out over the lagoon.
Intercontinental Le Moana Bora Bora
Overwater bungalows from US$806 per night for two people
If you insist on Bora Bora instead of Moorea, then your best deal is probably going to be at the Intercontinental Le Moana Bora Bora.
Each bungalow is just under 600 square feet (55m²), including a glass coffee table that allows guests to clearly view the sea life below their bungalow. The location here is also wonderful, at the southern tip of the island with one of the best views of the main mountain of all the resorts.
Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa
Overwater Deluxe Villas from US$879 per night for two people
Speaking of amazing views, the Hilton Bora Bora Nui Resort & Spa has some of the best in the world.
In recent years this resort has become famous as the place where Kim Kardashian (along with husband #2) stayed for 3 episodes of their so-called reality show. But don’t hold that against the resort because it’s truly one of the best in the entire region. Also note that this price is for their Deluxe overwater villas, which have the best views.
