The Details

Only available through Agoda, this nightly rate is great for those who are looking for a luxury stay while on a bit of a tighter budget. This rate also includes all three meals, each and everyday of your stay, making for a more attractive nightly rate. With all this said however, it should be noted that this particular rate is only available during the month of August and is well below the normal low season rate. This means that, most likely, there will be lots of competition for each available room, making it so that you'll want to book yours as soon as you can.

Large overwater rooms with a jacuzzi and more

All together there are almost 200 rooms to choose from, though only 30 of them reside over the water. These 30 rooms are quite large though, totaling 915 sq ft. Each of these rooms feature a kingsize 4-poster bed, Wi-Fi, an entertainment center complete with a TV, DVD/CD player and an iPod docking station and room service.

Guests will also find a coffee and tea making station, an open-air bathroom featuring double sinks and a rain shower, a private sundeck and a jacuzzi for two. On the sundeck you'll also find tropical plants, a shade umbrella and chaise lounges.

Three meals included everyday

In addition to oversized rooms complete with everything you could need, guests will also find lots to do and see. Some popular resort activities include table tennis, billiards, tennis and beach volleyball. Once in the ocean you'll find snorkeling and scuba diving opportunities. In fact, the resort hosts an Euro-Divers SCUBA Center on-site, a great choice for those who wish to advance their skills.

If traveling with kids in tow, you'll find that the children's playground comes in quite handy during those uneventful days. Foodies will love the various restaurants and bars on-site. Even better is the fact that three meals are included in your nightly rate.

The best-value Maldives all-inclusive resort is usually Meeru Island and they are within your budget. The problem is that only a few resorts allow 4 guests in one water villa, and none allow 5 guests. The only resorts that have 2-bedroom water villas all charge over US$2,000 per night for those. Your best bet would be to get a water villa at Meeru Island and an island room for the kids. These are all private islands so they are extremely safe. Aside from that, I don’t know what to suggest. Best of luck with this. -Roger
