Overwater bungalow at Bora Bora’s finest resort for US$990 per night

STRBoraBoraOBviewNormally we feature promotions on this page for more affordably priced overwater bungalows, but this week the best and most interesting deal we see is a great discount at what many people consider to be the finest overwater resort in Bora Bora. Out of about 10 luxury resorts on the island, those who’ve visited most or all of them routinely say that the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort is tops.

Right now you can get one of their enormous overwater bungalows for only US$990 per night for selected dates in November and December. Their normal “discount” price on these suites is US$1,156, and even that is only available occasionally. In other words, if you are interested in seeing how those who don’t have to ask about room rates go on holiday, now is your chance.

The Deal

A Superior Overwater Villa at the St. Regis Bora Bora Resort for US$990 per night for up to 3 people.

The Details

This rate is a special promotion on hotels.com for stays of at least 4 nights. There is free cancellation so you are free to book before you’ve locked in airfare. These rates are subject to availability in November and December, and it’s best to check the hotels.com page for the St. Regis Bora Bora for your own dates.

House-size overwater suites with butler service

STRBoraBoraLivingRoomBefore we begin describing the overwater villas at the St. Regis, we’ll remind you again that these are considered by many to be the best in Bora Bora. Each villa is 144 square meters (1,550 square feet), so they are more than 5 times the size of an average luxury hotel room in a city. Each one has a private terrace with its own gazebo, but that’s just the beginning.

As this is a 5-star resort with no modestly priced rooms at all, it might not be a surprise to learn that each suite includes butler service. Most people don’t want someone living with them, so you’ll be happy to know that the butler is basically there to greet you and arrange for activity and restaurant reservations, in addition to solving any little issue that comes up.

Every amenity you can imagine

STRBoraBoraSnorkelingMost hotel rooms now have a flat-screen TV, but these suites have two 42″ plasma TVs with international channels and Bose sound systems. There’s also an outdoor enclosed shower out on the terrace, as well as a separate shower and bathtub in the huge bathroom itself. You also get a minibar and coffee/tea service for the times you’d prefer to lounge around instead of going down to the restaurants and bars.

The St. Regis Bora Bora has 3 restaurants including a sushi and sake place, plus a separate poolside bar. There’s a fitness center, a gorgeous pool, and a variety of water sports options. Needless to say, the St. Regis has one of the best spas in the South Pacific, so those who like a massage or other treatments will be well looked after.
