Maldives Jacuzzi water villa with full board for US$592 per night in April
With January winding down, the peak-season months in the Maldives are almost behind us, and the better deals are starting to surface again. From Christmas through February the Maldives water villa resorts are able to fill up at prices that sometimes seem shocking, but just after that the bargain-hunters suddenly have quite a few options.
This week’s deal is for a Jacuzzi Water Villa with full board for two people at the Veligandu Island Resort & Spa for only US$592 per night, or a smaller water villa for only US$547 per night. While those prices might still seem just a bit high to some people, it’s important to know that the Veligandu is one of the highest-rated 4-star resorts in the Maldives. The private-island resorts that rank above and below it tend to be about double the price, so this is one to jump on if you are able to travel in the coming few months.
A Jacuzzi Water Villa at the Veligandu Island Resort & Spa with 3 meals a day for two people for only US$597 per night. For the smaller water villas without the Jacuzzi it’s only US$547 per night.
These promotional rates are only available on Agoda, our booking partner, and they include free cancellation. Space is limited and higher rates will apply to dates that are already mostly sold out. Check your own travel dates on the Agoda page for the Veligandu Resort and book soon to lock in this deal.
Huge water villas with all the amenities and a private Jacuzzi
The Jacuzzi Water Villas at the Veligandu are 86 square meters including the private deck (926 sq ft), which is huge compared to a normal hotel room. Consider that a kingsize bed is just under 4 square meters and it’s easier to understand how large these are. This includes a private walled-in outdoor area with the Jacuzzi for two, so you get privacy on top of tropical luxury.
The water villas have a separate sitting area with a sofa and a 36″ flatscreen TV. There is also a minibar, a Rainshower in the partially outdoor bathroom, double sinks, and of course a large private deck with lounge furniture and steps leading down into the lagoon below.
This many positive reviews can’t be wrong
While it might not be wise to concentrate so much on guest reviews alone, it is worth noting when a moderately priced private-island resort like this continues to score so well with verified reviewers (past guests instead of just anyone with an account). If you go by review scores alone you’ll notice that almost all of the top resorts also charge over US$1,000 per night for their water villas. Only a bit down the list you come to the Veligandu, which is half that price including a Jacuzzi and 3 meals a day.
The resort has 81 guest rooms, including 64 water villas. Only 10 of the water villas are the smaller class, and 54 are the larger Jacuzzi Villas, so this is a smaller and more exclusive resort than most others in this price range as well. There are many other choices, and some other good deals in the Maldives in the coming months, but this one is hard to beat if you can afford it.
