Kuredu Island Resort – Maldives

Kuredu Maldives Aerial

With a total of 383 rooms, villas, and suites, including 50 water villas, the Kuredu Island Resort is among the largest of its kind in the Maldives. Most guests come on all-inclusive package plans, though other options are available. Those looking for an intimate and secluded honeymoon resort might do better elsewhere, but families or anyone seeking an affordable and active vacation in a paradise-like setting should be happy here.

The size of the Kuredu Island Resort allows it to have things other nearby resorts don’t have, including a 6-hole golf course with a pro shop. The atmosphere is casual and the entire island has sand floors, which should be very popular with those who might not be in the mood to dress up while on a tropical island.

The Kuredu Island Resort is located in the Lhaviyani Atoll, 128 kilometers north of the Malé International Airport in the Maldives.

What the reviews say

Reviews for the Kuredu Island Resort are generally quite positive, which is a bit unusual for such a large resort with such a wide range of rooms. Most guests were quite pleased with the setting and the rooms, as well as the food in the all-inclusive restaurants. There are also guests that state that even despite the resort’s size, it’s very romantic and relaxing.

A few guests remarked that the size of the resort can be a bit inconvenient, as some features, such as the pools, are a long walk from the water villa side of the island. Considering this is a moderately priced 4-star resort, the reviews are quite reassuring, even if they are not 100% positive.

Getting there

To reach the Kuredu Island Resort you’ll first fly to Malé International Airport. From there you’ll be greeted by resort staff and helped aboard a sea plane for the 40-minute flight to Kuredu Island and the hotel itself.
